  1. Increase the amount of your daily physical activities. Walk a kilometer for a day or more, and double it on weekends.
  2. Avoid, temporarily, any activities which have strong connection to your smoking. If you’re used to smoke after eating, don’t stay for long near the table after the meal, get up and take a walk. If you usually smoke while watching the TV, during parties etc., give up these activities for a while.
  3. Find a temporary replacement for cigarettes (bubble-gum, sugar-free candies, thin slices of carrot or celery etc.).
  4. When passion for smoking rises, try this breathing exercise: let your body relax, inhale the fresh air slowly and deeply; after filling your lungs with as much air as you can without feeling uncomfortable - count to five and exhale the air very very slowly.
  5. Prepare yourself with something to occupy your hand with.
  6. Drink allot, mostly recommended orange juice, even if you’re not thirsty.
