The Fifth Day

This is it, the last day in the quitting program. You still yearn for a cigarette? Still angry, nervous, too tense? Doubtfully. Even if this is how you feel - it is much less than your feeling in the last four days. Remember the first day? Lots of things have changed since, right? In the first day you doubted your ability to quit smoking, and you even thought that you’ll give up in the first crisis. Now things have changed. You might still face the temptation of smoking a cigarette, however now you can confront this temptation with confidence and strength. You know you can stop - that is, you’ve overcame the biggest difficulty.

Will it be easy for you from now since? Will it be really a great relief? It will take some more time, few weeks, few months, until you’ll be completely immune from the temptation of smoking. However from now on the struggle will be much easier, cause now you see yourself as an ex-smoker. From now on you won’t be looking for another cigarette automatically and you won’t miss anyone of the 20 cigarettes or more, you’ve previously smoked in a day.
