The Second Day: Noon and Afternoon
Again, don’t change your general behavior from yesterday. Try again not to eat with
smoking people: don’t stay near the table after the meal. Give up coffee, wash your
mouth, go out for a small walk. The afternoon hours like the morning, could be
difficult and tempting. Prepare yourself for an activity which will occupy your hands
and mouth. That while sticking to your regular medicine - juice, water, deep breath
etc. - pay attention to these suggestions, advised by ex-smokers:
- Replace your cigarettes with sugar-free-gums, pistachios etc.
- pick a new pipe or a new mouthpiece for the cigarette - they must be new,
otherwise they will smell from nicotine.
- When there’s nobody at home, you can allow yourself to chew bones, crack nuts etc.
