The Second Day: The Morning Hours
You might feel now very miserable. You’re just "dying" for a cigarette. The great
passion to smoke can cause you to be impatient, , depressed, too sensible, unable to
concentrate, restless, sweaty, tired, your hands might shake and your head might ache.
Your condition can be terrible, and you are convinced that only smoking a cigarette can
save you.
What should you do? Use all the tactics that are known to you from yesterday. Use them
as much as you can. Remember: there is no reason for you to be merciful on yourself.
You won’t die if you don’t smoke (on the contrary, you will probably live longer).
Remind yourself that the decision to stop smoking is yours - it’s not a punishment
that was given to you. You are the one who wanted to quit, remember? (if it’s hard
for you to recall the reason that drove you to the decision, take a look at the list
you made in the first days). It is very important that you’ll stay calm in these moments
and that you’ll remember, that the condition you are in is only temporary. Drink some
juice. Talk to your best friend (complain. so what?), go outside if you can and if the
weather makes it possible. Go to the sea, and swim. In other words, wherever you are,
don’t sit in one place, and don’t cry on your situation. Get up, do something!
