The Second Day: The Morning Hours
You might feel now very miserable. You’re just "dying" for a cigarette. The great 
passion to smoke can cause you to be impatient, , depressed, too sensible, unable to 
concentrate, restless, sweaty, tired, your hands might shake and your head might ache. 
Your condition can be terrible, and you are convinced that only smoking a cigarette can 
save you.
What should you do? Use all the tactics that are known to you from yesterday. Use them 
as much as you can. Remember: there is no reason for you to be merciful on yourself. 
You won’t die if you don’t smoke (on the contrary, you will probably live longer). 
Remind yourself that the decision to stop smoking is yours - it’s not a punishment 
that was given to you. You are the one who wanted to quit, remember? (if it’s hard 
for you to recall the reason that drove you to the decision, take a look at the list 
you made in the first days). It is very important that you’ll stay calm in these moments 
and that you’ll remember, that the condition you are in is only temporary. Drink some 
juice. Talk to your best friend (complain. so what?), go outside if you can and if the 
weather makes it possible. Go to the sea, and swim. In other words, wherever you are, 
don’t sit in one place, and don’t cry on your situation. Get up, do something!
