Smoking damages the lungs and the defense mechanism of the lungs every time a smoker inhales. The smoke which enters the lungs cause a chemical damage to the lungs' tissues. The cleaning cells, which remove alien particles from the air bags of the lungs, are weakened.

Continuous exposure to the cigarette smoke (active and passive smokers as well) weakens the enzyme which preserves the flexibilty of the lungs, and by that increases the chances to develop Emphysema. This disease called Emphysema causes great difficulties in breathing and motion.
85% of all the cases of Emphysema in the world are caused by smoking (passive or active).

Emphysema = DEATH!

In addition, the condition of the lungs affected by smoking can be developed into lung cancer.
Approximately 90% of all lung cancers are caused by smoking (passive or active).
Women who smoke are more likely to develop lung cancer than male smokers, and they seem to need fewer cigarettes to do so.

Lung cancer = DEATH!
